Horsepower-per-Litre: The advanced powerhead design of the Yamaha F70 features a Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC) with four valves per cylinder, optimizing power and efficiency. The intake valve area is increased by 17%, and the pistons and valves are up to 10% lighter compared to the T60 model. This results in significantly higher horsepower-per-litre of engine displacement than other outboards, whether four-stroke or two-stroke direct-injected.

Lightest Weight in Class: Designed with a specially engineered engine block and a two-piece upper case, the Yamaha F70 maximizes performance without compromising durability. It stands out as the lightest four-stroke 70 horsepower outboard, even lighter than some two-stroke direct-injected competitors.

Precise Throttle Control: The Yamaha F70’s four-stroke engine routes all incoming air through a single throttle valve, ensuring precise air intake for optimal power and fuel efficiency. Each cylinder receives air through individual long intake tracks, which are pulse-tuned for maximum density and power at the exact volume and timing needed.
